All-Nudist on Wordpress
For reasons which will be explained later, we'll be closing this site in January. We'll continue to maintain our original site, All-Nudist though probably without much current input. There's a lot of good information there and we'll import as much as we can from here. Just giving you a head's up so you can find us there when this is gone! All-Nudist on Wordpress We were sitting out on the deck last night, right after dark, when a man came across our lawn attracted to our little campfire. "Mind if I share a beer with you?" We thought he was a neighbor at first but it turns out he's a homeless guy, just seeking a little human interaction. The short version is that he wound up staying for hours and sleeping in our spare room. The longer version may be coming up here soon because he was a really interesting guy with much to share. Angie and I are still sorting out our feelings about this. TV and newspaper stories about the homeless are one thing; having one of them in your home, befriending him, is entirely another. We sent him off today well fed and with a goody bag, but nonetheless now we're sitting here in our warm home while he's out there in the cold rain... We're still sorting this out in our heads. "Recently, somebody just wrote a blog post about my recent message sign/meme about NoBodyShame, trying to accuse me of lying about being a nudist and having body shame just because I do not have a lot of “pictures that show my face” and not full nudity all over my Clothing Optional internet platforms, and I’m supposedly “setting a bad example. That is absolutely BOGUS. Just because I keep a low profile and don’t have millions of pictures of myself completely naked for the whole world to see makes me a liar in any way? Or ashamed of who I truly am or who anybody else is? ABSOLUTELY NOT." More: Clearing up the misunderstanding about NoBodyShame. No lies. No hypocrisy. Critic: I’m so sick and tired of these lies. Our comment on the article: This topic pops up every few years, often brought up by (as is the case here) semi-exhibitionists intolerant of others' viewpoints. This sort of divisive and pointless argument serves only to fragment our community, something we definitely don't need. Whether someone wishes to remain anonymous or not is a personal choice and no one else's business. A desire for privacy doesn't negate the message being presented. "Please have the decency to say nothing if you still haven’t yet resolved your own issues of body shame." assumes that body shame is the issue, not all the possible legal and familial complications that could arise from open 'exposure'. It also indicates a serious lack of understanding of the whole nudist/naturist idea of MINDING YOUR OWN BUSINESS! We stopped following that particular blogger once his agenda became apparent, and largely because we were sick and tired of seeing his body splashed all over his site. 'Ok, buddy, we've seen you nude; so? How much more of you do we need to look at?' Nudism isn't about LOOKING; it's about BEING. "Overall, being a true naturist is not about exposing yourself to the world; being a naturist is about accepting yourself about who you truly, naturally are, no matter whether you display it on the computer publicly or not." YES! ______________________________ Look around folks; do you see a lot of nude pics of Angie & Steve here? There are a few nude pics of us, sure, but why would a nudist/naturist feel the need to have a gallery of themselves? That need for self-exposure is something entirely separate from social nudism and should in no way be confused with our lifestyle. Do your own thing but please don't try to tell folks that your personal interests are part and parcel of social nudism! Related: Some of you are pretty new to All-Nudist.com and uaware of our history. As far as nudist/naturist blogs go, we've been around for awhile! Over the course of the years we've gone through a lot in our personal lives, moved from one website host to another, and changed our focus a bit. We're meant to be a primary source for the newbie nudist as well as the veterans, and that hasn't changed. We write fewer 'editorials' than before and are now more of a resource with a lot if information rather than being activists. A lot of bloggers burn out when the discover that they've said pretty much all they have to say on a subject, and we came close to that a couple times. Instead, we have our Community News section and It's Just a Nudist Thing to keep up the interest and, hopefully, bring folks to our website where the real info is located. They also offer an outlet for the occasional rant or incredibly insightful commentary. ;-) So what we have here is a listing, by title, of everything that's been posted on our old All-Nudist website including updates posted to there from here. There's a lot if stuff there so you might want to save it for a rainy day! Some of the links will no longer work, some may go to somewhere than they originally did, but there's still a lot of good information there and it's what we built our reputation on! Stop in and poke around when you get the chance; what do you have to lose? Archive: Listing of Articles Related: About Us As some of you might know, during our transition from our original All-Nudist website to this current one, there was another incarnation that lasted for about a year. When we switched platforms from there to where we are now, everything on that intermediate site site was lost... or so we thought. It turns out that there's an online service which captures occasional, random website pages and saves them for posterity. It's part of Alexa, a respected worldwide resource for monitoring site traffic that offers diagnostics to subscribers. Using their 'Wayback Machine' it's possible to find some of our lost content from our website that is otherwise irretrievable to us. These 'snapshots' are far from perfect and a many links don't work, you may need to click on blank image spaces to see what was there, but a lot of it works and it's worth trying. We think you'll have fun exploring! Here's the first old All-Nudist.com article from there that we're sharing, and there will be more: “No, Not ALL Nudists Are Child Molesters…” One of the interesting things about blogging is that the totally unexpected can happen at any time. For instance, you may or may not know of our old, original All-Nudist website. It was our first effort to provide a basic and honest portrayal of social nudism for newbies or those merely interested. It was successful and eventually grew to what we have here today at All-Nudist.com. With over three million visits at our old site, and that much more at this one, we feel that we've made some small impact on a lot of people! Now here's the interesting thing; for a few years now we haven't updated that old site other than to post occasional links to our new website's postings. Basically, it's just a promo for here. It still gets a lot of visitors daily, and that's fine with us. But then today happened! From a daily average of 600 hits it jumped to over 4,800 (so far) and we haven't a clue as to why! A large part came from Facebook (we no longer have a Page there) and the rest from lots of different sources. WTF? Who posted a link on FB that drew so much attention? Why did everybody decide to go there today? We'll probably never know. Now, our current All-Nudist.com (where you are now) averages around 5,000 hits per day and we expect that. But for that largely ignored and obsolete website to make such a leap is beyond understanding. But we're not complaining! One thing is certain; we wish we knew what triggered it so it could happen again, and hopefully to direct those folks here instead of the site we no longer maintain! But thank you to whoever provided this kick though you may not even know you did! UPDATE: Over 6,000 now. Very weird... "Monday night is orgy night at Commune Utopia. The Commune isn't looking as photogenic as it usually does, and until I manage to establish some ground rules regarding taking photos of people there (particularly in an orgy!) I’ll largely refrain from posting. Still, all was not lost. New photographer Hugh came online, and despite not being an SL or RL naturist managed to get his kit off while the two of us explored bits of the in-transition Commune, and take photos of each other. He seems like he could be a lot of fun to work with. I (and possibly Hugh) will be back at the Commune later on for their second orgy session." Read more: Orgy night at Commune Utopia This appalling excuse for 'naturist' writing appeared recently on the SL Naturist (Second Life - simulated reality through cartoon avatars)) website which, until now, has fairly represented true naturist values both in the Sim and in discussions relating to real life (RL). We have long supported their efforts. Upon reading All-Nudist.com's comment about this deviation into something decidedly non-naturist, SLN's editor (Ella) commented expressing surprise and dismay that such an article had been posted, unknown to her. SLN's publisher (Howie) soon posted the following article stating that he had nothing to do with the website other than funding it, then defended the 'Orgy article' and its writer (Diane). Furthermore, he then suggested that Ella "should be writing for a more mainstream naturist media!". That shows something about his ideas of 'naturism, no? A publisher’s perspective: A response to that ‘orgy’ post This was followed by Ella's (the editor) explanation of the situation and her reaffirmation of her position as someone who respects and promotes "genuine" naturist traditions and values, and wishes SL Naturist to be representative of that. She writes eloquently and we believe she's sincere, but Ellen, as editor, apparently feels an obligation to introduce site visitors to the fringe element of those who call themselves naturists but act otherwise, and she respects them for that! Editorial: Orgy Night at Commune Utopia We at All-Nudist.com disagree. Does the sheep 'respect' the wolf among the flock? By claiming to be be representative of naturism, SL Naturist, or any credible website, is obliged to live up to those honorable ideals and not present a distorted view. God knows there are plenty of other phony 'naturist' websites out there already doing exactly that. Remember: those who have not experienced social nudism have only the misimpressions of Textile society to guide them. If they go to a 'naturist' site and are welcomed into an aberrant version, that will be what they will see naturism as being! Many will run far and fast, sharing what they learned with others. Those who embrace those twisted concepts don't belong among us, God forbid! As a portal for newcomers to social nudism All-Nudist has long been trusted to refer new folks to websites and articles which will give them a true view of our community, including the warts but not promoting them. Once people have a solid grounding, they will be better prepared to assess the validity of the kind of garbage that they are more likely to run across as they explore social nudism. We cannot in good conscience continue to support a 'part-time naturist' website published by someone who doesn't care ("That has jack shit to do with me") and an editor afraid to take a stand on her principles due to her uncertainty as to just what mainstream social nudism is really all about. "It’s not my job as editor to impose my will on everything. It’s my job as editor to reflect wider trends in the broad church of naturism, with different strands of what’s acceptable and what’s not." - Ella No Ella, it is your job to determine what pertains to "the naturist values I hold: which are to positively promote a family orientated, friendly, a healthy lifestyle where nudity does not equal sex." on the naturist website you are in control of. That's what you were hired for. Is that so difficult? Or is the pressure for website hits ("that currently manages an average of about 900 views a day") what really drives SL Naturist's agenda? If you SL folks want to get yourselves a naked cartoon simulation website with no holds barred, more power to you! Call it 'SL Naked Fun' and you'll have no argument from us. But if you insist on calling it 'naturist' and cannot maintain naturist values, you may boost site visitors but they won't be naturists; they'll be those who find you when searching for 'naturists sex'. And you you harm our worldwide community by doing so. It's with regret that All-Nudist.com will be removing any articles and links to SL Naturist from our websites and social media. We will no longer share their articles or in any way direct folks to them since, lacking sound editorial policy and standards, we will never know what they'll be promoting as 'naturism'. Related: "SHE is to be found in every gym change-room around the world — her abs worked to perfection, skin glowing with the exertion of her recent workout. And she’s totally naked. For far too long. There’s etiquette to getting nude in changing rooms, ladies and gents. And it doesn’t involve moisturising your body with your leg hoisted up on a bench. That’s just rude." From: Kerry Parnell begs gym change-room exhibitionists to please, keep their genitalia out of her face Yes, it's another of those nauseating diatribes by a body-hating prude, a woman this time. Man or woman, these sick-minded folks share a common disgust for the exposed human body, and especially in a setting where nudity might be expected; a locker room! These articles turn up a couple times a year, and every time the writer thinks they're being both witty and original, when actually they are neither. Ms. Parnell launches her spiel by attacking attractive women who, unlike herself, aren't ashamed to be seen by other women while changing clothes or showering. Not to be content with that, she proceeds to insult the elderly with imperfect bodies, naturists, gays, overweight men, celebrities and anyone else who has ever exposed any skin, anytime, anywhere! In other words, she's an equal opportunity hater, and she's not alone. These articles usually beget a bevy of comments supporting the idea that hatred and fear of our own and others' bodies is normal and natural. Unfortunately, while such ideas are not natural by any means, 'normalcy' is determined by society in general and as such it is perfectly normal to think exactly like this sad excuse for a human being does. This should serve to remind us that the world we live in isn't quite as flexible as we sometimes want to believe. Nudists, with our healthy attitude toward the human body, are most definitely abnormal compared to the majority of our peers! There is one thing that sets this article apart from all the others like it: she doesn't start out saying, "I'm not a prude...but..." ! Now don't get us wrong; we couldn't care less about these candidates. They may each have good and bad points, but that's not what we're interested in here. It's just an example of 'how low can you go' when vilifying political opponents. Now, we've got a lying sack of poop named Kevin Yoder who went skinnydipping while on a taxpayer-funded 'fact finding trip' and pretends he regrets it. sure he doe; he got caught! Now translate 'fact-finding' that to 'free vacation'; no problem with that in politics! His sin? Was it prostitutes? Gambling? Shhh... it was skinnydipping! And in Jesus's sea to boot! And then the wimp made a phony apology to cover his tracks, as if his 'sexual perversion' could be hidden so easily! Yoder apologizes for skinny-dipping But that apology is not good enough for his opponent in an upcoming election, no WAY! He's a worthless sinner and the best way to prove that is to... um... hire 'nudists' to denounce him in commercials? We need to get this straight, because it's getting quite confusing. So we have a liberal (and more likely accepting of naturism) candidate using skinnydipping against a conservative (and theoretically less likely to be accepting) to expose him as, well, whatever 'exposing' a skinnydipper means! Obviously a lying pervert, right? And even nudists (whom she must disapprove of since skinnydipping is reason to attack him) don't like him! Oh anyway, it's all very silly and it should truly terrify us that those who run our country are such f%#&@*g idiots! Didn't we get past this stuff when our Prez skinnydipped in the White House pool with the movie star he was boffing? When a Congressman got caught publicly with a naked stripper? When Senatorial aides understand that sex is a prerequisite to employment? When BJ's became socially acceptable because the Prez does it with his assistant? When selfie crotch shots don't hurt a political career? Skinny dipping? Give me a break. British Naturism Delivers the Goods; Defends Naturists and Wins! What Are US Organizations Doing?9/17/2014
"It’s not always easy to persuade people to join an organisation, especially one like ours where you need nothing (literally!) to be able to participate. Aside from the benefits our incredibly cheap annual membership offers and the opportunity to be part of a community – whether meeting other people face to face, or the feeling of not being alone – a crucial part of our work is to challenge threats to our lifestyle – something we do very well, as the following shows…and don’t be one of those who say ‘I never use that beach’; think of how we will act when your favourite place is taken away from you…" More: Holkham beach - saved for Naturism by BN Isn't it great to see a national organization that's actually effective in supporting those it purports to represent? Not just by promoting member resorts/clubs via Facebook or defending strip clubs on dubious grounds that it may someday affect a paid member resort (while ignoring a unpaid nearby beach closing), but actually spending time and money to save a beach for everyone! In the US we have precious few examples such as this, and none have been effective in recent years. British Naturism demonstrates that it is possible to affect the political process positively, and to do so for the benefit of all. BN understands that beachgoers do visit clubs and vice-versa, and that we're all connected. We hang together or we can hang separately, as they say. We fully support BN's efforts and urge folks to either join or send a donation; every bit helps us all! Are we bashing our USA national nudist/naturist organizations? Far from it, they're all we have! Consider it constructive criticism. We're just reminding folks they they'd be wise to learn something about those they send money to, and to make sure that that they're getting what they think they are. If you're a member, participate to make you views and needs known! If not already a member, consider what it is you expect to get other than $5 off a venue visit and a t-shirt. Is that all you expect? British Naturism delivers; maybe our organizations could take a lesson from that. Perhaps they could collaborate and learn how to be effective. Plummeting membership suggests that they're doing something wrong, that people aren't convinced that they have anything to gain by joining. Ya know what? We're considering joining BN even though we live in Wisconsin, USA and will never visit the UK! Why? Because they deserve the support that we're not so sure our US organizations have earned. Conventions for delegates, get togethers, gatherings, ads for member resorts; is that all there is that American nudist/naturist organizations have to offer? Where is the evidence that membership dollars accomplish anything other than that? If our nationals are merely member social clubs, then let them say so. If they are truly advocates for our lifestyle, all of us, then let them prove it. Folks have been asking that for years now, and the answer is always, 'Trust us". Is that enough, with no evidence to back it up? You decide. We're looking forward to an official rebuttal from those organizations, which we will reprint and share. They deserve a chance to justify their existence, or at least explain what it is that they actually do provide to our community. It's time for a bit of honesty, isn't it? Related:
